Epizoda #9 – Novica Veličković:

In the ninth episode, host Miloš Jovanović welcomes Novica Veličković – a basketball legend of Partizan Belgrade and the Serbian national team, now embracing a completely different role while remaining close to the sport that shaped him. Known as “Novica the Killer” during his playing days, he reflects on his early beginnings at KK Drvomarket in Zemun and how he built the basketball character that caught the eye of coach Duško Vujošević and led him to Partizan. His hunger for victory took him to the EuroLeague Rising Star title and Real Madrid, and he proved his resilience when his career was hanging by a thread. After a stint with Mega and a return to Partizan, he eventually said farewell to basketball. Today, Novica passes on his “basketball rules” to his son and to young players at Mega, where he serves as team manager and assistant coach. In the 2023/24 season, he helped lead the team to a fourth-place finish in the ABA League.

Epizoda #10 – Željko Rebrača:

In the tenth episode of Basketball Rules, host Miloš Jovanović sits down with legendary center Željko Rebrača. Over the course of this 30-minute episode and six personal rules, the popular “Rebarac” reflects on his humble beginnings in his hometown of Prigrevica and his challenging move to Belgrade. The character he forged during that period would become his foundation throughout a storied career – one that saw him become a European champion with Partizan in his very first senior season. From there, everything was built on hard work. Gold medals with the Yugoslav national team followed, with the pinnacle being the 1998 FIBA World Championship in Greece, where Željko was the key player and, with just three critical plays, secured the title for his country. His journey then led him to elite European clubs like Benetton and Panathinaikos, and later to a notable NBA career. Today, he passes on his rich experience to younger generations, aiming to instill his “basketball rules” in a new wave of rising talent.

Epizoda #11 – Duško Savanović:

Duško Savanović In the eleventh episode of Basketball Rules, host Miloš Jovanović is joined by former power forward Duško Savanović, known for his time with FMP and numerous top-tier European clubs. More than just an outstanding basketball player, Duško is a multifaceted individual with a wide range of interests, which has made him a favorite in local media circles. He began gaining valuable basketball experience in the Belgrade suburb of Železnik, playing for FMP and making a name for himself with strong performances. As he himself says, he’s a classic “late bloomer,” and his career path serves as inspiration for players who don’t break through during their junior years. His journey took him across Europe to Russia, Spain, Germany, and Italy, but he still regards playing for the Serbian national team as the most meaningful experience of his life.

Epizoda #12 – Aleksandar Đorđević:

In the twelfth episode of Basketball Rules, host Miloš Jovanović welcomes legendary player and former head coach of the Serbian national team, Aleksandar “Sale” Đorđević. It was impossible to skip over the defining moments that have become part of our basketball DNA – moments that earned Sale a place among the immortals of the sport. However, from today’s perspective, as a coach, he views those iconic plays differently: the unforgettable three-pointer in Istanbul in 1992, the 41-point explosion against Lithuania in the 1995 EuroBasket final, and the clutch shot against Croatia two years later. In this episode, he also shares lesser-known stories and personal “rules” from his time in Barcelona during the NATO bombing in 1999, as well as the core principles he applied while leading the national team. Under his guidance, Serbia won three silver medals in five major international tournaments, continuing the legacy of excellence.
