MasterChef – Sezona 2

Following the success of its first season, MasterChef Serbia returned to TV Prva for an even more ambitious second season, once again produced in collaboration with Videostroj. The interest in joining the MasterChef kitchen was overwhelming, with amateur cooks arriving from all corners of the country.

The casting process unfolded in several stages. Out of thousands of applicants, 250 contestants were invited to present themselves to the judges. The season began with TOP 32 divided into two groups, each given 45 minutes to prepare their signature dish—a meal that best showcased their skills and culinary identity. At the end of this round, the judges awarded 24 aprons to the most impressive contestants.

In the next phase, contestants were again divided into two groups and asked to identify which contestant from Season 1 they most related to. Using ingredients selected by those former contestants, each cook had 60 minutes to create a dish. TWIST: the main ingredient became the one chosen by the contestant they identified with.

Based on both audition rounds, the judges—top experts in the world of gastronomy—selected the top 18, who received the iconic white aprons and officially entered the competition. For the rest, the MasterChef journey ended there.

Radna akcija 2019

From that point forward, the bar was raised. With each new episode, the contestants pushed their limits, facing a wide range of challenges never before seen in the Serbian edition.

The intense competition brought many surprises. Some cracked under pressure, while others seized the opportunity to learn from the best and grow with every task. Under the watchful eyes of the demanding judging panel, only the most dedicated and persistent cooks secured their place in the Top 10.

Their journey included difficult team challenges, speed and improvisation tests, unfamiliar ingredients, and recreations of masterfully crafted dishes by professional chefs and renowned pastry artists.

As the high-stakes elimination rounds unfolded, some fell short due to lack of knowledge, experience, or luck. After months of relentless pressure in the most prestigious kitchen in the world, three finalists emerged: Stefan, Mila, and Anja.

This season’s culinary adventure was paved with complex challenges that only a few managed to overcome—and ultimately, it was Anja Đukić who claimed the coveted title of MasterChef Serbia, along with the €50,000 prize.
